The education system has to fix systematic problems across the country; with reports video displaying that the academic abilities of American students drastically declining in equivalence to students in other countries. A couple of decades ago, the linked States class-conscious first in the world among young adults who had high inform diplomas and college degrees. Today, we rank ninth and seventh, respectively, among the industrialized nations of Europe and Asia. Subsequently, the average United States teenagers aptitude scores are on a lower floor average and these students are unable to apply math concepts to real-life skills. In conjunction, students who study science, history, geography, grammar and literature have difficulty understanding the concepts and reports show a decline in these areas as well. To date, the United States ranks eighteen out of twenty-four among industrialized nations in terms of coition effectiveness in its education system. This problem resonates deeply with me, and I hope to someday work on finding a solution to this rapidly growing economic problem. It is for this reason that I am applying to the graduate program in school psychology at Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology.
As a school psychologist, I will consult with teachers, administrators, parents and community agencies concentrating on the abilities and difficulties that student face with his/her studies. Students who struggle with academics, emotional development and sociable skills will be given appropriate tests to ensure he/she is functioning at his/her maximum potential. Next, as a constituent of a baby bird Study Team, I will enforce sound techniques, which will help students with studying disabilities and cultural differences. Finally, this Child Study Team will consult with teachers and other clinicians to pick up whether special education is needed. Thus, I seek the skills and knowledge to teach, learn strategies and evaluate a curriculum designed to educate our students.
