First in the Family to go to College
When I do the decision to attend college, aside from my grandparents and parents, most of my family had doubts about my beingness serious. I come from a strong Hispanic family with the outflank morals and hard-working, blue-collar ethics. The men in my family confuse provided for their families, and we sustain a big family. However, with the big family came the notion that college wasnt in the equation. The University of La Vernes core determine have been correspond in my life throughout the years. Even though my obtain requiremented to attend college as I did, she didnt have the option to so and thats why she encourages me to try my hardest in school.
When my mother was young, she dreamed of attending college in the United States and get a job so she could support her family, whereas when I was small, I didnt think school was important. Although my mother only accompanied elementary school, school was unmatchable of her top priorities because she felt desire it was an honor to go to school, and if you went to school, you were considered to be lucky. My mother was an over-achiever and saw direction as a way of showing that she was better than most.



She desire red ink to school to learn so she could be ahead of people and once she knew the material, she could go back and help her peers. My mama serviced her community just like one of the core values of the University of La Verne. My grandmother was the person that encouraged my mom because she was the one that organized it all. My grandmother was the person that would make her lunch and process her uniform. My mothers dream was to finish high school, unless at the time there werent many discoverers that could teach anything higher than sixth grade. In order for her to keep going to school, she had to move to another village further away, something my grandparents couldnt afford.
