Perceptions in Hinduism

The main reason for the difference between Hindi Dharma and traditional trusts stems from its origins. Hindu Dharma does not use a solitary individual or text from which to derive its authority. Sruti scriptures are considered to be of divine origin, whose truths were disclosed to the sages and saints plot in meditation. The highest religious authority in the Hindu Dharma religion is the Sruti scriptures comprised of the four Vedas and the Bhagavad-Gita. The four Vedas include the Rig, Yajur, Sama and Atharva. The Vedas are a ingathering of chants and hymns that pertain to religious and spiritual insights offered by the sages and saints of yore. There are four parts to each Veda: Mantras, Brahmanas, Arany-akas and Upanishads. The Mantras are poem-like writings in honor of the deities who symbolize the Godhead. The rules and regulations for correct exhibition of religious rites, rituals and ceremonies are outlined in the Brahmanas. The Arany-akas are the foundation of the symbolic and spiritual aspects of the Brahmanas. Finally, the Upanishads disclose insights into Brahman.
