She changes her mind again and does not want to go because of her jewlery situation. Her husband than suggest that borrow a necklace from a friend and she return it after the ball, she agrees and borrows a necklace from a friend.
The big night comes and off to the ball they go. Loisel is in paradise the entire night at the ball. She is the envy of all the women at the ball. All of the men are watching her and asking her name.
