Smelling the acrid, intense smoke was like having someone flavor your food with ashes instead of salt and pepper. The entire meal was ruined. Soon afterwards we went to a concert, again someone lit up nearby. The enjoyable prison term I had paid for was destroyed by the harsh, bitter stink that drowned out the sound of any music. Other cities, such as Arlington, Texas have already banned smoking in restaurants, concerts, and other public areas for this very reason.
