Foundations of Psychology
The purpose of this paper is to envision the genial and mental aspects of psychology. This paper will also define what psychology is and how it relates to feelings, mental processes, and remembering. Psychology is the investigation of the processes previously menti whizd and the understanding of individual cultural, psychological, and biologic experiences.
Identify the major schools of thought in psychology and establish their major underlying assumptions.
Structuralism: The purpose of structuralism is to examine the mind and its processes in regard to consciousness. Wilhelm Wundt developed a scientific method known as introspection.
Functionalism: The idea of functionalism was examined to understand why the human mind allows one to participate in authoritative daily activities but does not explain why one does the activity. This method was developed by William James
Psychoanalysis: The idea of this concept was that human manner was influenced by the unconscious mind. Three diagnose concepts were developed in this method: the superego, the ego, and the id. This method was developed by Sigmund Freud.




Behaviorism: This concept examines how the human mind adapts and learns through instruct and the surrounding people are placed in. Two mainstay concepts were developed to explain behaviorism: classical conditioning and operant conditioning.
Classical conditioning is a scientific method intentional to examine behavior when training the mind to respond to stimuli. These techniques admit pairing a natural response with a stimulus.
operative conditioning is a method used to examine the behavior one displays when his or her actions warrant a punishment or a reward. This method was developed by Ivan Pavlov.
