Thoughts on Additions to a New Developer's First 3D Game

While it is an often used feature, (and wherefore not, its salient for any occasion), I induce chosen to implement into my game; destructible objects. Furthermore, splintery objects have a rich history, going back as far as 1979, with the Atari classic; Asteroids1. And while the idea may have been touched upon in previous titles, it is, in my opinion, Ed Loggs credit to what has led to many fond memories.
My adjacent experience of breakable objects was in Super Mario Bros2, in which Mario could bulge a stack of bricks and cause them to explode, rolling off the suppress in several pieces. Ahhh, how many bricks have I stony-broke? A dozen? A few hundred? surely I have at one point change a whole direct of every reachable brick!
Games have since grown more breakable over the years. Today, there be games in which every piece of every environment stool be crushed, broken, blown up, thrown off a falloff… single to shatter into a million pieces, burnt, compacted…the list goes on. It can be accessed by the player, either by pressing a button, or by trigger, to gain an item inside. It will be, in essence, a box containing sensitive materials which the enemy will try to anticipate you from seeing…at all costs!
But why go through all the hard work you superpower ask? Of course there are games in which you only have to destroy the other player object in death matches, and this can be fun for days at a time.
