The movie Glory is a fantastic story somewhat the 54th Regiment in during the Civil War. Kevin Jarres Glory is a fantastic movie and I suggest you run pop out and go see it immediately! The 54th Regiment was the startle entirely African American unit to fight for the Union in the Civil War. The command won undying glory by leading the bloody assault on gather Wagner climb up Charleston, South Carolina. In the attack nearly half the regiment was killed, wounded or captured. In Glory, this vernacular is given the night conviction before they move in on Fort Wagner. I have grown very fond of this diction because this speech isnt formal at all, in fact, the speech is more of a giant prayer where multiple people speak. Jarre portrays this speech in a way that moves many people.
I weigh that Jarres speech moves people because this movie is based mutilate a true story. The 54th was organized in March 1863. Since the 54th was the first regiment that consisted of all black sol devolvers, excluding the leaders, all eyes were on them to see if they were capable of fighting in the war. If the performance glum out to be good, it would be the deciding factor if African-Americans could be used in battle.



The regiment earned its greatest fame on July 18, 1863, sadly, it was for their unsuccessful attack on the Confederate soldiers at Fort Wagner, cost them the lives of nearly 54 men from the regiment and virtually 200 men wounded.
